OSHA 10 & 30 Outreach Practice Tests — Free & Trilingual

The OSHA Outreach Training Program is a voluntary safety course that helps workers recognize and avoid common job-site hazards. Entry-level workers take OSHA 10, and supervisors take OSHA 30, in one of two tracks: Construction (29 CFR 1926) or General Industry (29 CFR 1910). Finish the course and you earn an official Department of Labor completion card — it is not a license, but many employers, unions, and job sites ask to see it. This free practice test lets you study the same safety topics in English, Simplified Chinese, or Spanish so language is never the reason you fall behind.

What the OSHA 10 & 30 Exams Cover

The heart of construction safety is the Focus Four — the four hazards responsible for the most worker deaths on job sites. Falls come first: unprotected edges, open holes, and improper ladder or scaffold use, all managed with guardrails, covers, and personal fall-arrest systems. Struck-by hazards involve flying, falling, swinging, or rolling objects like tools, vehicles, and loads. Caught-in or caught-between covers trench collapses, unguarded machinery, and being pinned between equipment. Electrocution rounds out the four, including contact with power lines, damaged cords, and missing ground-fault protection. Expect many exam questions on recognizing and preventing these four.

The General Industry track (29 CFR 1910) shifts focus to hazards common in factories, warehouses, and other fixed workplaces. Hazard Communication — the 'right to know' standard — teaches you to read safety data sheets and chemical labels so you understand what you are working with. Lockout/Tagout covers the procedures that safely shut down and de-energize machines before maintenance, so equipment cannot start up unexpectedly. Machine guarding protects hands and bodies from moving parts like blades, gears, and rollers. These topics, along with electrical safety, walking-working surfaces, and personal protective equipment, form the backbone of a General Industry course.

A big part of every Outreach course is worker rights and employer responsibilities. You have the right to a safe workplace, to receive training in a language you understand, to see records of work-related injuries, and to file a complaint with OSHA without being fired or punished for it. Employers, in turn, must provide required safety equipment at no cost, keep the workplace free of recognized hazards, and inform workers about the dangers of their job. Knowing these rights protects you, and the exam will test whether you understand both what your employer owes you and how to speak up safely.

So what is the difference between OSHA 10 and OSHA 30? The 10-hour course is built for entry-level workers and gives a broad awareness of the most common hazards and basic safety and health rights. The 30-hour course is longer and deeper, intended for supervisors, foremen, and workers with safety responsibility; it spends more time on managing hazards, accident prevention, and how to run a safer site. Both come in Construction and General Industry versions, and both end in an official DOL completion card — choose the level that matches your role and the track that matches your industry.

FAQ

Is this practice test really free?

Yes. Every question and explanation on Quibank is completely free, with no account or payment required. Keep in mind that the actual OSHA Outreach course and its official DOL completion card are provided separately by authorized trainers and usually have their own cost.

How many questions are there and what score do I need to pass?

In the real OSHA Outreach course you answer a short quiz after each module and a final assessment; most authorized trainers require about 70% correct to pass, and you can usually retake sections you miss. Exact question counts vary by provider and by whether you take OSHA 10 or OSHA 30. Our practice tests mirror this module style so you can build confidence before the real thing.

Can I study in Chinese or Spanish?

Yes. Every question, answer, and explanation is available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish, and you can switch languages at any time. Because the OSHA final exam itself may be given in English, we show the English wording alongside your language so you learn the key safety terms both ways.

Is Quibank official or affiliated with OSHA?

No. Quibank is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by OSHA or the U.S. Department of Labor. Only an OSHA-authorized trainer can deliver the official course and issue the DOL completion card. Use our practice to prepare, then take the real training through an authorized provider.
